Thorsteinn Loftsson PhD

received his MSc in Pharmacy from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) and his MSc and PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Kansas (USA). He is Professor of Physical Pharmacy at the University of Iceland, Faculty of Pharmacy. His main research interest is the pharmaceutical applications of cyclodextrins. Dr Thorsteinn has authored or co-authored more than 250 articles in peer-reviewed journals, two books, 20 book chapters and holds 20 patents and pending patents. Dr Thorsteinn is included in Thomson Reuters lists of frequently cited scientists and the world's most influential scientific minds (2014 and 2015). He is a reviewer for the International Journal of Pharmaceutics and an editor for four other international peer-reviewed scientific journals.
