"Clinical Cases in Ophthalmology 2020".

 

On 11 September 2020. The Foundation for the Advancement of Ophthalmology 'Ophthalmology 21', together with the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, organised the fifth scientific conference 'Clinical Cases in Ophthalmology'. This was the first online conference. The aim of the conference was to exchange experience in the proper diagnosis of ophthalmic clinical cases. During the conference, specialists from North America, Asia and Europe presented their clinical cases. A total of 262 participants attended the conference.

The conference opened with a lecture on 'The sad story of the man of Katyn' by Dr Edward De Sutter from Belgium. In the first session, under the guidance of Prof. Ningli Wang, clinical cases were presented by speakers from China, including from the Beijing Tongren Eye Center. The second session included clinical cases from the Philippines. The session was chaired by Dr Perfecto Cagampang III. In the third session's trkat, cases from the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in the US were presented by Prof Stephen Schwartz. The next session included clinical cases from Israel. The session was prepared by Prof Yair Morad and Dr Eran Pras. In the fifth session, cases from central Europe were presented under the direction of Dr Andria Korol from Ukraine and Prof Reda Žemaitienė from Lithuania. The last session included clinical cases from Poland, with Prof Andrzej Grzybowski moderating the session.
