Institute of Ophthalmic Research

The institute was established on 12 October 2017. It designs, supports and conducts research in clinical ophthalmology, optometry and the history of medicine, with a particular focus on the history of ophthalmology.

Objectives:

1. conduct and support research in the physiology and pathology of vision,

2. conduct clinical trials in collaboration with, among others, pharmaceutical companies,

3. collaboration with industry on testing new technologies in the field of visual physiology and pathology,

4. national and international cooperation in research and new technologies,

5. preparing and running programmes for the prevention and early detection of eye diseases,

6 Prepare and conduct educational programmes for doctors and patients in the area of visual physiology and pathology,

7. conducting ophthalmic research, particularly related to scientific research,

8 Consultation on modern ophthalmic technology and options for obtaining treatment for eye diseases.
