About the Polish Presbyopia Club 21

Polish Presbiopia 21 Club was established in April 2016 in Poznań. The Club brings together Polish and foreign experts in the field of presbyopia correction. The structure of the Club is based on two basic pillars. Polish Scientific Committeeof which I have the honour to be President, and International Scientific Committee chaired by Professor Jorge Alió. The Club also has a group of Supporting Members, which includes representatives from the world of technology and clinical centres specialising in the use of modern presbyopia correction methods.

The activities of the Polish Presbyopia 21 Club include a number of initiatives - from patient education to standardising knowledge and improving the skills of presbyopia specialists. The Club's main initiative is to create an interactive educational platform for patients as well as doctors and optometrists. There will be three sections on the platform, dedicated successively to patients, eye care professionals and Club members. For patients, the aim is to offer knowledge in an accessible format, presenting them with all the available presbyopia correction methods tailored to their individual needs and preferences. In the patient section, you will be able, among other things, to ask questions, find out where and when free ophthalmic consultations take place or read the most interesting articles and scientific reports from the country and the world. The doctors and optometrists section will be a multimedia library of specialist knowledge developed by Club members, a training schedule and a place to exchange knowledge and user experiences. The final section will be for Club members. It will be a friendly place to exchange knowledge, undertake educational initiatives and further work on adding to the above-mentioned library of knowledge. Other initiatives of the Polish Presbyopia 21 Club include: the organisation of a cyclical all-Polish conference exclusively on presbyopia, the running of an original course for ophthalmologists, optometrists and family medicine physicians entitled ABC of Presbyopia at the most important all-Polish scientific conferences, and the establishment of contacts and knowledge exchange with foreign scientific centres in order to constantly improve the knowledge of Polish specialists.

The need for education is great. As the Polish Presbyopia 21 Club, we feel it is our duty to offer all of you the best quality knowledge regarding presbyopia correction methods."
