Screening of children in kindergartens

We have completed the first phase of sight screening for children in kindergartens and schools in Poznań and the surrounding area. As part of the pilot, we screened 180 children, and in the project, which has been running since May, we screened 425 children. In total, more than 600 children were screened!

The examinations were carried out using a state-of-the-art photoscreening device, in a quick and non-contact manner and, most importantly, in a child-friendly environment, i.e. on the premises of a kindergarten or school. Our activities focused primarily on children in kindergartens, as early detection of visual impairment and visual impairment gives the best results, however, we also screened children from schools (primary education)

We are very pleased that the problem of myopia has been recognised by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Health and that the "Good to See" programme will soon be implemented in the Lubelskie Voivodeship. However, we hope that the programme will be extended to the whole of Poland!
